Finding Your Way in a Complicated World
There is no doubt that navigating this world can be a challenge. And, when we experience trauma and mental illness, things get even more complicated. We may wonder:
- How do I find my purpose when I’ve experienced so much pain?
- How do I form healthy relationships when I would rather be alone?
- How do I work in a professional setting when my emotions are hard to control?
- How do I take care of my family when at times I am barely caring for myself?
Good News!
You can learn to do all those things and more! How? By remembering to focus on improving the areas of your life that you can control, and learn how to accept and live with the situations that you cannot change. I know this from experience, and some days I don’t get it right. But most days I do, and you can, too. Many of my books, articles, and presentations focus on the importance of mental health and wellness.

In 2023, Trilogy Christian Publishing (a branch of the Trinity Broadcasting Network) republished my first book. I wrote In This Corner in 2005 as a result of journaling during my recovery journey. When the company that published it went out of business, I self-published it. Now, I am blessed to have worked with Trilogy on an updated version.
Other titles include Essays on Mental Illness
Mental Health and Faith: A Closer Look
I believe mental health awareness and education are essential for addressing the stigma of living with a mental health condition. And that’s why I started my podcast/YouTube program. Since the COVID pandemic of 2020, the emphasis on health and wellness has increased significantly. More people are speaking up. More people are getting help. And more people are learning how to support their friends and family members. But there is more we can do! The need far outweighs the available mental health professionals. We need more workers and more options. Many of my materials and presentation topics reflect this need and can be used by individuals, mental health professionals, Biblical counselors, health coaches, or others who desire to improve their mental health and/or work with clients.
